General information
Where does WerksRaeder24 GmbH get their goods from?
As a partner of German automotive groups, we obtain our goods directly from the respective automobile manufacturer. These are
original wheels and aluminium rims.
Are they original BMW / Mini wheelsets and aluminium rims?
We distribute almost exclusively original wheels and aluminium rims. However, it may happen that we do not have
suitable wheels in stock for certain vehicles. In this case we offer our customers a suitable high-quality alternative from the car aftermarket.

Is it possible to trade-in my current wheels?
For tax reasons we can unfortunately offer private customers no trade-in.To get the best possible price we
recommend our customers,
that you offer your wheels on the usual platforms such as eBay or eBay classifieds.
Shipping & Delivery
How is the shipping done?
For the shipment of our wheels and tires we work together with different shipping service providers. Wheels are optimally
protected for transport with a state-of-the-art winding machine. Our wheels are protected in the best possible way by a special foam inlay and an additional protection
made of double-walled cardboard boxes. We ship rims in special rim boxes. The shipment via our shipping partners is of course insured. Wheels and rims are shipped in
four individual packages / parcels due to their size and weight.
Are my wheels / rims safely packed?
In a nutshell, yes!
For the shipping of our wheels the rims are protected by a special foam insert. Supplemented by a precisely fitting double-walled cardboard insert, additional
transport protection is guaranteed. Finally, the complete wheel is wrapped fully automatically with a highly durable film and is therefore perfectly prepared for
shipping.
Is there a track and trace?
We ship exclusively with shipping service providers that offer tracking and tracing. After printing the shipping labels, an
e-mail is automatically sent out with information on tracking and tracing.
How much does express shipping cost?
By default we do not offer express shipping. Thanks to our optimised logistics processes, we usually ship on the same day. This means that only a few working days
elapse from order to delivery

Technical issues
Are the wheels equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring
system equipped?
As standard, all offered wheels are equipped with an original tyre pressure control system (TPMS). Any deviations are clearly
marked directly on the corresponding article.
Does my vehicle have a tyre pressure monitoring system?
From 1 November 2014, an active tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is mandatory for all new cars. You can recognize such a system by the valves installed on the
wheel. Metal valves indicate a tire pressure monitoring system, whereas plastic valves mean that
no active tire pressure monitoring system is
installed.
Here you can see valves of cars which have
no active tire pressure control system installed:

Are these original tyre pressure monitoring systems?
Just as with our complete wheels, we also use only original parts from the respective automobile manufacturers or their
suppliers for the tyre pressure sensors.
Do tyre pressure sensors have to be programmed?
We only use original tyre pressure sensors of the respective car manufacturer. For this reason the
sensors do not need to be programmed. The sensors are automatically recognized by the car.
Are the wheels balanced?
Our wheels are balanced at the factory. After delivery, nothing stands in the way of a direct assembly.
What does the abbreviation DOT mean?
The DOT number is a code pressed into the tyre sidewall. DOT stands for "Department of Transportation" or in short:
the date of manufacture of the tyre. The four-digit code includes the week of production (first two digits) and the year of production (last two digits).
Unused tyres may be sold as new tyres for up to five years from the date of production, provided they are stored properly.
Example A tyre with DOT 1913 was produced in the 19th calendar week in 2013.
Are suitable wheel bolts included in delivery?
Wheel bolts are not included in the delivery. You can simply re-use the wheel bolts of your existing original wheels.
How many kilometres can I drive with one set of tyres?
Unfortunately, this question cannot be answered in general. The abrasion of tyres depends on various factors. For example, tyres wear out more quickly on sporty driving
than on longer motorway trips at moderate speed. On average, a new tyre can be driven about 35,000 - 45,000 km until the minimum tread depth is reached.
In Germany the legal minimum tread depth is 1,6mm.
The tread depth of new tyres depends on whether they are summer or winter tyres. In addition, each tyre manufacturer already has different tread depths as standard.
The following general statement is appropriate:
- New summer tyres have approx. 6.5 - 7.5mm tread depth
- New winter tyres have approx. 7.5 - 8.5mm tread depth
A tyre with 4.5 - 5.0mm tread has therefore still about 50% of remaining tread.
Export
Do I have to pay German value added tax for a delivery to
Switzerland?
No, the export from Germany to Switzerland constitutes an export delivery and is as such tax-free. As soon as
you select Switzerland as delivery country in the order process, your purchase will be calculated without German VAT. The costs for the
Export declarations are already included in our flat-rate shipping costs.
How does tax-free purchasing work as a foreign company?
For business customers from other European countries we offer an intra-community purchase. This eliminates the German VAT of 19 percent. For an
intra-community delivery we need the following documents:
- valid sales tax identification number (VAT ID number)
- Extract from the commercial register
- Copy of the company owner's identity card
